Hypnosis to Quit Smoking: Dealing with the Mental Side of Addiction

Quit Smoking With Hypnosis

In my experience, most quitting smoking methods make one of two mistakes. Either they focus too much on the physical aspects of nicotine addiction, or they operate based on the assumption that we smoke because of triggers. Hypnosis is the best way to quit smoking because it doesn’t do either of these things. Instead, it goes deep into your mind and makes real changes to the blueprints for who you are and why you act, think, and feel the way you do.

Why Other Methods Don’t Work

Of course, I’m not denying that the physical reasons for smoking are important. Yes, smoking changes how the body works. And when a nicotine addict goes too long without a cigarette, the body is thrown out of balance, and it starts to rebel.

But the fact is that these are just side effects of a deep mental condition. People smoke because they want to. And if they only smoked when they’re body asked for a cigarette, people wouldn’t be smoking one or two or more packs a day. Nicotine just doesn’t move through the system fast enough to make you physically need a cigarette that often.

As for the trigger-focused methods of quitting, these also miss the point. Triggers are just shallow things that we dress our cravings in. Cravings come regardless of what we do, and it’s just part of our human nature to want to attribute them to something.

If you don’t believe me, try this: Make a list of all your triggers, and then avoid all of these things for 2-3 hours. No doubt you’ll find new ones to replace the old ones. This shows that it doesn’t matter what your triggers are; your deeper cravings are what’s important.

In short, quitting methods like the patch, gum, and prescription pills rarely work because they only deal with your physical symptoms, and they don’t address your deep, underlying desire to smoke. And methods that encourage you to avoid your triggers don’t work because your cravings run much deeper than that.

Why Hypnosis is the Best Way to Quit Smoking

So, how does using hypnosis to quit smoking avoid these common mistakes?

It’s simple. Hypnosis cuts way down deep to that part of you where your desire to smoke lives. It goes beyond the physical, and it goes beyond shallow triggers. It addresses your psychological reasons for becoming addicted, and it even balances out any genetic disposition you may have toward addiction.

You don’t have to analyze it, really. Do you suspect that your addiction comes from some kind of psychological issue or even a childhood trauma? If so, don’t worry about it. Free quit smoking hypnosis mp3 sessions will give you the strength to beat whatever these underlying issues may be, without having to pay for years of psychotherapy or hypnotherapy to give up smoking.

Plus, other than the fact that it works, the best thing about using hypnosis to quit smoking is that it’s very cheap, sometimes even free. You can choose to see a professional hypnotherapist if you have a little time and money to spend, or you can try stop smoking self-hypnosis at home using quit smoking hypnosis download or streaming stop smoking hypnosis mp3 sessions. Here’s the program that worked for me and I offer it to you for free – just kick the habit for good.

I was looking for articles on hypnosis, believe it or not, when I came across your good post which got me thinking and lead me to what I was looking for. Strange world isn’t it.

This is a good explanation of the general process behind using hypnosis for smoking. Although, part of many hypnotherapudic processes also address the physical symptoms and help reduce their occurrence. Much like a martial artist uses self hypnosis to reduce pain during training. Same exact thing.
