Since lots of smokers aren’t the healthiest people in the world, part of what makes the withdrawal process last so long is that their bodies’ systems are a little sluggish.</p>

If you’re the parent of a teen, you know that kids take their cues from their peers and the media much more than from their parents, so you may wonder if there’s anything you could possibly do to deter your child from smoking. <p><strong>Practice “no”: </strong>Teach your child smart ways to say “no,” and practice a few potential scenarios. Be open about the realities of peer pressure, and emphasize that there are better ways to be cool than to blindly follow what other kids do.</p>
<p><strong>Don’t panic: </strong>If your teenager does get caught smoking, it’s not the end of the world. It may be that he or she had a brief lapse in judgment and gave into peer pressure just once. Make sure though that your teen knows the answer to the question “how addictive is nicotine”.</p>

<h4>It&#8217;s Time To Retire Your Cigarettes</h4>
<p>T: I would like to get a little information about your smoking habit.<br />
T: How much have you been smoking up to this point?<br />
C: About three packs a day.<br />
T: Sounds like a professional smoker. If you are going to do something, you might as well do it right .<br />
T: How long have you been smoking?<br />
C: Around 25 years now.<br />
T: That sounds like retirement time for cigarettes, doesn&#8217;t it?<br />
C: I think it is past time.</p>
<h4>Making It Easier For You To Quit Smoking, Mentally</h4>
<p>T: How much do you smoke on a given day?<br />
C: About two packs a day.<br />
T: Most of the time is you smoking or not smoking?<br />
C: Without a doubt most of the times I have a cigarette at least burning in the ashtray.<br />
T: I see, if most of the time you were not smoking, it would probably make it even easier to quit smoking, wouldn&#8217;t it?<br />
C: I&#8217;m sure it would be easier.<br />
T: Let&#8217;s take a look at your smoking habit. You are smoking about 40 cigarettes a day. The national average for time smoking i8 five minutes per cigarette. 40 times 5 equals about 200 minutes of smoking or about 3 and a half-hours a day.<br />
Let&#8217;s see there are 24 hours in a day, and you are smoking just under 3 and half-hours out of those 24. That means that 20 1/2 hours each day you are not smoking.<br />
<em>I guess in reality most of the time you are NOT smoking, are you? </em></p>

<p>When you quit smoking, your senses of taste and smell will suddenly come to life in a way that you had not thought possible. While it’s not quite as dramatic as, say, being blind and having your sight restored, it is sort of like that. You’ll be able to taste subtleties of flavors that you have not experience for years, maybe even since you were a child.</p>
<p>On first glance, this may seem like a problem when it comes to the whole stop smoking without gaining weight thing. If food tastes better, won’t you be tempted to eat more?</p>
<p>Maybe, but try this: Become a foodie. When you quit smoking, commit yourself to taking a real interest in fine and healthy food. If you can’t cook, learn how. If you can cook a bit, make yourself better. Make foods that take full advantage of your renewed taste buds.</p>
<p>This will work if you do three things:</p>
<ul>
<li>First, don’t eat out. Restaurants, and especially fast food places, tend to serve huge portions, and that’s how many people gain weight. Eat at home.</li>
<li>Second, avoid pre-cooked meals or products with preservatives. Make everything fresh.</li>
<li>Third, eat small portions. It helps if you’re cooking for more people than just yourself. And it’s also good to save half of everything you cook to have left over.</li>
</ul>

Within 5 seconds, the look on the person’s face goes from outrage, to confusion, to comprehension. It makes a great conversation starter.</p>
<p><strong>Why are E-Cigarettes Banned in Some Countries? </strong><br />

Not that I would accuse those who disagree with me of being brainwashed, but there’s no denying that the anti-smoking movement has profoundly shaped people’s attitudes to an almost unreasonable level. And for millions of people, the nicotine-equals-bad equation is so deeply ingrained that they’ll probably never change their minds. There’s a knee-jerk negative reaction to anything remotely related to tobacco or nicotine.</p>
<p>This at least partially explains why health organizations around the world have falsely stated that e-cigarettes are not safe and cannot help people quit smoking. In reality, electronic cigarettes were invented barely 5 years ago, and any organization that gives them a bad rap is just shooting from the hip.</p>
<p>If you want to know the truth, ask people who use e-cigs regularly, and most will say that they feel better, are less addicted, and don’t suffer the usual side effects of smoking.</p>
<p><strong>Quit Smoking with E-Cigarettes</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Any electronic cigarette company is legally barred from promoting their products as quit-smoking aids, but plenty of anecdotal evidence says they can be used for this purpose. In fact, there are thousands of newly smoke-free people who would probably take issue with the idea that e-cigarettes can’t help. I’m one of them. Check some electronic cigarette forums to get other opinions on the subject.</p>
<p>With e-cigarettes, you can gradually reduce the amount of nicotine you put in your body by changing from a <em>regular </em>formula to a <em>light </em>formula, then to <em>ultra-light</em>, and finally to nicotine-free solutions.</p>
<p>Give yourself a 3-month timetable, and stay on each level for one month. By the time you get to the end of your ultra-light stage, they’ll hardly be any nicotine left in your body, and quitting will be easy with very little withdrawal.</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s it for my opinionated electronic cigarette review.</p>

For them, the ideal situation is for you to use their product for a while but fail to stop smoking in the long run. <p>Think about it: If you succeed at quitting, will you ever buy nicotine replacement products again? Of course not. If these nicotine products actually helped you quit, it would be like a shampoo company making a product that keeps your hair clean forever. It would be a nice product, but that company would soon lose all its business.</p>
<p>In short, for these companies, helping you quit smoking is just bad for business.</p>

The baby elephants would pull, and tug trying to get away, but they could not escape. The little elephants became so conditioned to failures, that now you could simply tie a cloth line around their leg, and hold it in your hand. Today as soon as the elephant feels the slightest resistance, he stops trying. Now, we both know what would happen if that elephant ever gave it 100 % to get free, he would be gone. Many times we as human being have failed so many times that perhaps we never honestly give it a 100 % to win. <p>How ridiculous that would be.</p>
<p>So, it really has not even been a case of whether or not you were going to become a nonsmoker, but simply a matter of when, and how.</p>
<p>You have answered both of these questions here now today. This is your day to become totally free, of that smoking habit. This is the day that you have chosen.</p>
